TRAVEL TO
KUNDASANG OR RANAU,SABAH
Hello!!!
Sabah is known
as “Land below the Wind”. Just say “Sabah”, there are many places that you can
visit such as Sepilok Orang Utan(Sandakan), Mount Kinabalu(Kundasang), Lok
Kawi(Korean boy group had visited it already) and etc.
Well ..in this
segment, I would like to share about the place you can visit during your
holiday especially who want to visit Ranau or Kundasang, Sabah. Actually you
can manage your travel by searching in many blogs about interesting places that
can be visited by tourists in Sabah so you can travel by yourself if you are
the one who like to travel by yourself. Both of these places known as cold
places but Kundasang is colder than Ranau as Kundasang is very near to Mount
Kinabalu. If you arrive at Kota Kinabalu International Airport (KKIA), you can
take taxi or Uber/Grab(mostly used by us nowadays) from KKIA to Padang Bandaran
where there you can take bus from Kota Kinabalu(KK) to Ranau. In the bus
station, you can just search the board that state “Ranau”. It is more cheap if
you use the bus than unser or taxi to go to the Kundasang. But certain buses
have or not have the aircond, so you can decide. The duration from the Padang
Bandaran to Kundasang and Ranau is about 2 hours and 2 Hours one half minutes
respectively. In Kundasang, the hotel that available such as National Park
(mostly the tourists will go here), Walai Tokou, Pine Resort Hotel, Strawberry
Garden Hotel and etc. For those who love hiking, you can go to National Park
because you can hike the Mount Kinabalu there.
In kundasang, the places that
mostly people visit are Dairy Farm Desa Cattle Kundasang, Memorial Park
Kundasang, Pasar Sayur-sayuran Kundasang (market of vegetables,flowers, fruits,
local food and etc). if you are the one that love to take “selfie”, the hotspot
to get the proper pictures is the place in the kundasang where there is the
man-made big cabbage in the 4 junction road where it is symbol of Kundasang
because Kundasang is rich of plantation of vegetables especially cabbages where
when you reach the hotspot you can see a lot of farms of vegetables being
planted by the people there.

Kinabalu can be seen more clearly from that places if lucky you can take
picture as well hahhaha).

ticket before enter.

not mistaken so go early.

Ok…finished about
Kundasang…next will be Ranau which it is my hometown. If you are from Kundasang
it is about 30 minutes to go to Ranau. The places that you can visit there are
Hot Spring Ranau(Kolam Air Panas) and Sabah Tea Ranau. Hot Spring RAnau is the
place where you can swim and stay there as there is home you can rent too.
Watching the butterfly and waterfall are available at Hot Spring Ranau. The
water in that place actually from the mount of Kinabalu where it is very good
for your skin especially those who have the skin problem or want to make your
skin more moist and healthy as well. Before entering the Hot spring Ranau, you
need to buy the ticket first. If you bring your childrens for swimming in the
Hot Spring Ranau, you can buy stuff for swimming in front(outside the gate) of
the place. Meanwhile in the Sabah Tea, you can see the wide plantations of tea
in Ranau. The product of tea being produced and sell there as well.
